Full mouth restoration with All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants?

 

We receive a lot of questions about the difference about the All-on-4 and the All-on-6. What could be the best solution for you? Well, first of all, to perform these procedures you need to be a very skilled doctor because the placement of the All-on-4 implants is everything! They need to be set two in the front and two implants with inclination to the side. The all-on-6 protocol it’s different because you place 6 implants in a straight way. This technique you don’t do it with immediate load, this technique you do immediate load. If someone is telling that they do the All-on-4 in two stages is because they don’t know the right protocol. The right protocol is that you can perform those implants and you can do immediate load at once. Now, on all-on-6 you place the 6 implants and you wait from 3 to 6 months for the bone to heal then, afterwards, you are ready to perform the bar.

 

Which of those techniques is best for you? Well, it will depend on the height of the bone, you can’t do long implants in the posterior areas due to the inferior alveolar nerve. You don’t wanna touch the nerve so that’s why you usually use short implants.  In the end, they are different techniques, but it will depend on your doctor’s skills and a thorough evaluation. Both techniques are good and both techniques work very well.
