Common questions when getting Dental Implants

What are dental prostheses? Dental Implants, Dentures, Partials, Bars in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry

Here are a list of  some of the most common questions you might have about Dental Implants. It is important that you take the time to speak with the dentists about your case and ask all the questions you might have. Our dentists in Cancun will explain everything before your dental treatment starts.

Am I a good candidate for a dental implant?
If you are healthy enough to have a tooth removed, you are probably healthy enough to receive a dental implant.  Anyone who has a missing tooth due to an injury, illness or infection may be a good candidate for dental implants. There are some factors that can affect your prospects: smoking, diabetes and other similar conditions, but these can be managable. A preliminary online evaluation with our doctors can help us identify any other factors and bring it to your attention.

How much does the dental implant treatment cost?
Prices varies depending on the case of each patient and the current deals and discounts we are offering. Usually each dental implant costs $1,200 USD, plus abutment and crowns for the second phase of the treatment. You can ask directly to our dental planners to check our current deals and promotions.

Will my tooth look natural?
Yes! Your new tooth will look natural and you will feel it as such. We make sure to use the same color as the other contiguous teeth so there won’t be any difference.

Is treatment with dental implants painful?
Our specialists use local anesthesia during the surgical procedure to eliminate any discomfort or pain. Similarly, the dentist will prescribe the medication necessary to avoid pain after the operation. Most patients can go back and relax at their hotel and the pool. We will tell you if you can or can’t drink or eat anything in particular.

How long does a dental implant treatment last?
Traditional dental implants usually require two separate visits between three and six months apart. In the first, the dental implant is placed and once its osseointegration is completed, the abutment and crown are placed. The exception to this would be All-on-4 dental implants and Snap in Dentures which can be done on a single visit to Cancun.

Do dental implants require special care?
Dental implants are like natural teeth and so should be treated with the same care. Just perform periodic checkups, brush your teeth and floss to preserve the health of your gums and ensure the success of the implants.
