He comes every year for dental implants! – Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry Review

 

A few months back we had the privilege to have our dear patient Bob return to Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry for his yearly check up on his dental implants. He is from Ontario and loves to come to Cancun and enjoy the mild climate here during winter.

Bob has been our patient for over 5 years. Every year ever since he has done an additional dental implant each time.
He has been doing his dental implants in Cancun by “stages”. The process is actually very quick. Placing one dental implant in normal conditions takes about half an hour. By “normal conditions” we mean there’s no need of bone graft or the patient is using only local anesthesia. Using dentistry sedation will likely extend the time you will spend on the clinic. The steps are easy: the doctor opens the gum flaps to work on the bone, drills it to place the implant with a healing cap and then stitches the gum flaps back. That’s the first part of the procedure. Now the patient will need to wait for the bone to heal and bond around the implant for a few months. Once that’s done, the dental implant will be ready for rehabilitation with an abutment connector and a crown.  Because of this, Bob decided to restore his smile this way. He would get an implant, get it rehabilitated the following year and place a new one in that visit.
