Different types of Dental Implants in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry!
Dental Implants in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry
When looking to restore the look and functionality to a missing tooth on your smile, there are many types of dental implants and techniques we can use. Our dentists are proficient on all types of dental implants and protocols from the most recognized dental implant brands in the world. In fact, Doctor German Arzate is an expert and has specialized himself on dental implants: regular, narrow, wide, mini, etc.
What’s the difference between these dental implantsand what’s the deal with them? Well, most dental implants are made of Titanium (though there are some made of zirconia) because this is the most biocompatible material with the human body. This means that the rejection rate from the human body with titanium implants is very very low compared to other materials. Depending on your dental need and the state of your mouth your dentists will give you extensive information about the best type of implant to use in your case. For example, narrow implants could be an option for a front tooth on the bottom jaw where your other teeth are narrower than, say, your molars. The size of the crown to be used on your rehabilitation process months later will also come into play. If you have big teeth, you will need a big crown too and a narrow dental implant might or even a regular implant might not be enough to place it. Finally, the bone volume and density on you jaws is a deciding factor for the type of implant you need to use. Your type of bone will also stipulate how long you will need to heal for the second phase (rehabilitation) to place down the crown and finish your treatment.

Dentistry tips for Halloween Candy to avoid tooth decay, cavities and caries!
Are you ready for Monday!? Halloween is around the corner and we know many of our patients are concerned for the dental health of their children… and let’s be honest, we also get to enjoy our own share of sweets that day! The candy obtained on Halloween can even last for several months if you had good luck finding out the most bountiful houses. Regulating the consumption of these delicious treats can be a challenge for any parent. There are number of things we can do for our children (and ourselves!) when dealing with Halloween candy. Check these tips to protect your smile and teeth from cavities: Avoid snacking candy:
Eating candy between meals is a terrible idea for both your diet and your dental health… specially if it’s a sugary snack! That’s why…
Eat candy right after a meal:
If you want to threat your children or yourself with Halloween candy, eat it after a meal as a desert. At this time your mouth is already increased production of saliva and these can help suppress the brunt of the effect of sugary foods and bacteria. Limit them to 2 or 3 candies per meal at most, depending on the size, this could be even just 1 a day.
Stay away from sticky candies:
Sticky candies can pose a big problem for your teeth, forcing them to work harder than usual and increasing your chances of tooth decay because they take longer to get “dissolved” by saliva, specially if they get stuck on hard to reach places between your teeth.
Reduce intake of soda and sugary drinks:
You are already taking much more sugar than usual! There is no need to increase your chances of cavities even more with sugary drinks. Donate the rest:
You and your children might end up with lots of candies that you don’t like. It is better to give them to someone who might like them instead of keeping them in your house as a temptation. If they stay around, you could make an excuse like “just one time” or “let’s try this”, “there nothing else to snack” and end up eating more candy that you ever expected.
Double down on your dental hygiene:
You must be strict with your brushing and flossing habits every time you eat Hallowing candy. Brush at least twice a day (morning and night), and floss before going to sleep to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Schedule your dentist appointment:
There is no better time to remember to book your dentist appointment than Halloween, when your teeth might be vulnerable. Make sure you and your kids have good dental health before going for Trick or Treat this Halloween!
The side effects of smoking on the healing of dental implants.
Dental Implants and Smoking. Healing effects on dental procedures in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry
If you are thinking on getting dental implants in Cancun or even getting other types of dental treatments to stop infection one of the most important thing you should do is to stop smoking ASAP. Smoking is a major cause of deficiencies in healing in all aspects of a periodontal treatment, both nonsurgical treatment as in most (if not all) surgical procedures. This is specially important for patients who might need a bone grafting or even a sinus lift in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry. After the first preliminary evaluation and talking with our doctors, they might require you to stop smoking to provide the best chances for a successful treatment.
In a non surgical procedure, smoking will end up as a detriment on the overall time needed to heal, as wel as it can lead to a higher risk of infection. Smokers will get less blood flow into their gums and bone, complicating the process of defending against several types of conditions. In many cases this could be a determinant factor on the success or failure of a non-surgical treatment because a smoker might end up needing a higher dose of antibiotics to make up for the lessen ability to fight off bacteria.
Furthermore, when thinking on getting affordable dental implants, a dental extraction or some other kind of surgical procedure, you should also be aware that the smoke of cigarettes and nicotine lowers the rate of irrigation and hampers the regeneration of oral tissue and bone. The smoke residue will reduce the tissue’s ability to attach itself to the implant. The bonding of the gum and bone to the dental implant is a process known as osseointegration.

Makeover testimonial for Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry! (video)
Designing the smile of your dreams with a smile makeover in Cancun!
We bring to you another important video with a testimonial from one of our dear patients who got a smile makeover with porcelain crowns. Right now we are having a great deal with $450 USD per crown! Check our price list for other services. German Arzate and his team of professional dentists were ready to help her out. Here’s the video:
Hello, good afternoon, what is your name ma’am?
I’m Amy.
What dental procedure did you have here in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry?
Oh my goodness, I had many things done; I had extractions, root canals and the main reason for me coming is a full mouth restoration.
Ok, with porcelain crowns.
Yes.
tell me about the experience, was it easy? Was it…?
I was very impressed by my treatment here, the staff was very professional. I did not only work with one dentist, I thought about this, I had FOUR dentists, a dental team and I was catered to… uhm… I was made very comfortable, I felt everyone was very professional and was a good experience.
Compared to the States or Canada, you also got a vacation, right?
Yeah, I wanted something of the same quality I would get in the United States, but I had a limited budget, and I was very worried about that. So I would say that it was 1/3 to 40% of at least what I would pay and I not only got my dental issues taken cared of but I received what I wanted which was mainly the cosmetic, the new look, the new smile.
And you had a vacation, obviously.
I did, yeah! I got to recover on the beach!
Let me see the results! Beautiful! Do you like it?
Yeah! I have to get used to it. I lived with that I didn’t like for most of my life!
It’s a big change. Thank you for this. Thank you for your time. Take care!
You are welcome.

“Like a dental implant spa” – Review of Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry
Dental Implant review in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry - German Arzate
A few months ago we had an amazing patient looking for dental implants in Cancun. Daardi came from Alberta, Canada, and he was impressed with our dental practice. He said his previous experience with dentist in Canada had been “torture” and was so glad to finally find an affordable and pleasant alternative to restore his missing teeth. He had come to Cancun before so he knew very well what to expect: a modern city with friendly people and great weather for his winter vacation. He enjoyed the many things to do in Cancun like snorkeling, swimming, and just sightseeing the wonderful white sand beaches.
This is what Daardi had to say about his experience in Cancun!
Very friendly. Very good team. Excellent ethic. I recommend to anyone who needs dental implants or cosmetics to come to Cancun, meet the dentists and staff. The clinic is very modern and clean. Like a dental implant spa. The dentists are very nice people who have your best interests and comfort as their priority.
We always take great care of our patients, making follow up calls to ensure everything is ok with their dental pieces. We proud ourselves in our first class service and attention, and indeed there had been times when some other patients felt so relaxed that perhaps it was the best part of their vacation… it was until Daardi said it was like a “dental spa” that it clicked. Yes, indeed. Our dental clinic is state-of-the-art, decorated with elegant paintings and soft relaxing music. Doctor German Arzate and his professional team of dentists will be ready to provide you the best care.
Right now we are having a Halloween special deal this October: you can get a dental implant, plus abutment AND crown for only $1,399 USD, with some restrictions applying.
