Gum disease is one of the most common maladies in Dentistry second only to cavities and impacted wisdom teeth. A 2010 study found that almost 50% of american adults have developed some level of periodontitis (gum disease). This is really important to know because YOU could have it right now and not realize it. Untreated gum disease can lead to several dental complications like tooth loss and accelerated bone loss! The disease is caused by bacteria that is living in your mouth and affecting the tissue of your gums (inflammation). You must remove the food leftover plaque from your teeth every time you brush your teeth and floss.
You really don’t want to lose your teeth any time soon… while you could replace them with our affordable dental implants, that’s still quite an investment that could have been prevent by very VERY easy steps.
How do I know if I have gum disease?
There are several signs you need to look out when you brush your teeth after every meal:
Bad Breath – If even after you wash your teeth and use a mouthwash you STILL have bad breath that’s one of the symptoms you might have gum disease.
Red/swollen gums – The bacteria is irritating your gum tissue!
Tender/Bleeding gums – Caused by inflammation from bacteria.
Painful chewing – The tooth itself might not hurt but the area around it might. Receding gums or teeth “looking longer” – You could have started to notice that your teeth look longer. This is because the gums are shrinking because of the disease. There might be pain and sensitivity as the root of the teeth get exposed.
Loose teeth – This is an emergency sign telling you you need to go to the dentist ASAP. It could mean the bone around your teeth has receded too much and you might be in danger of actually losing your teeth!
Make sure you go to your dentist twice a year to prevent this and many other dental problems! If you think dentists in USA are too expensive then you can seek our dentists during your vacation in Cancun and save lots of money.

Another Happy Patient in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry! (Alison)
Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry Review
We would like to thank our dear patient Alison Blair who came from Alberta, Canada who took the decision to do fillings with use because of our affordable cosmetic dentistry in Cancun.
This was her very first time visiting Cancun. Alison loved the kindness of our staff, especially of our Mexican Doctor Yadira Badillo, pictured above with her. Alison got a very good impression of our dental clinic in Cancun when she arrived. Our facilities are top notch and regarded as state of the art by important dentistry association like the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Dental Implant Learning Center at Englewood who hold the famous Live Implant Training Maxicourse to train American doctors on implant techniques at our clinic twice a year.
Alison told us that even though the dental work she had with her previous with dentists back home were decent, the boring and unfriendly,. This is very common on Canada and the United States. Some practices simply don’t care about how the patient is feeling or how to make him/her relax. We, in the other hand, take great care with our patients, always keeping in touch through phone or emails before they arrive and we will answer all your questions. Our customer care service will be with you every step of your treatment making sure you feel at ease. We understand traveling to another country can be scary, let alone having some sort of treatment additionally to that!
This is a message Alison left us!
Thank you for a great experience. Very friendly staff!
Thank YOU Alison for placing your trust in our hands. We send you the warmest regards!

New Year’s Eve is approaching and tourists and locals in Cancun are already getting for it. There are several events planned for the 31st of December either in Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen and Tulum! Let’s go over the options:

Isla Mujeres:
For those who prefer something much more relaxed, you can go to welcome the very first beams of light of the New Year at Isla Mujeres, the eastern most part of all Mexico. Is suggested to stay there for a couple of days before New Year’s Eve so you can enjoy the party on the beach and the main plaza of this lovely beach town.
Riviera Maya: New Year’s Eve parties on Playa del Carmen are said to be “Legendary”. Thousands get to the famous Quinta Avenida pedestrian street to celebrate in the open from dusk until dawn (and perhaps even after that!). One more Happy Patient! Smile makeover in Cancun!!
Smile makeover in Cancun
We would like to thank our dear patient Ladnor and his lovely wife Diana who came to Cancun for a complete smile makeover in Cancun. Ladnor’s original estimate in USA was going to be more than 50,000 USD. It was simply too expensive to get his confident smile in USA so he looked for cheaper alternatives. We use the same FDA approved materials as in USA and Canada so you will have the same quality of pieces and also equipment. We are a complete equipped facility with panoramic x-rays, private dental units and more.
This is not Ladnor’s and Diana’s first time they visited Cancun. He asked for an estimate and came to our dental clinic in Cancun a couple of times before for other treatments. We feel honored he and his wife decided to trust in our dentists in Cancun for their dental treatments. The short flight from Florida to Cancun was totally worth it! They took advantage of their vacation days to get their dental work done. Ladnor is also a golf fan and there are more than a couple of golf courses in Cancun, and more along the Riviera Maya that have hosted international tournaments. Is the perfect spot for someone who wants to play golf and relax at the beach.
He left us a wonderful message:
A wonderful clinic where everyone makes you feel important and like family.
This is very important to us. We will try our best to make you feel at home. We understand that traveling to another country and getting dental work during your vacations can appear to be daunting, but our costumer care will be there for you on every step of the way.

Get cheap veneers with Dentists in Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry
We would like to thank our dear patient Quana who came from United States looking for dentists in Cancun to get beautiful veneers for her smile. You can find affordable veneers with us, made with the same FDA approved materials as in USA and Canada.
Veneers are porcelain laminates which are used to cover the front part of a teeth to fix its appearance. This is a great option when your teeth are cracked or have other minor problem like stains. Quana made extensive research for a long time, comparing prices, reviews, videos and results. While her dental experience with other dentists was alright she couldn’t afford the veneers she needed, with an estimate of over $15,000 USD.
Thank you for your professional demeanor. I enjoyed my treatment and my overall experience.
This was actually her first time in Cancun and she decided to have fun with some tours. There are tours for all kind of people, from fishing, snorkeling, adventuring in the jungle and even visits to other Mayan archaeological sites outside Cancun.

Have fun on a boat on your dental vacation in Cancun!
catamaran fragata party boat on dental vacation in Cancun
There are many ways to have fun during your dental vacation in Cancun! This Caribbean paradise has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and with reason! The sea in Cancun simply takes your breath away with its shades of blue.
One of the best things to do during your dental vacation in Cancun is to go on a boat to party and eat in Isla Mujeres. You will find small boats, ideal for family trips or larger ferry-like boats where you can enjoy the trip with other tourists. You will be able to enjoy a wonderful sight. Just you and your loved ones and the Caribbean sea! There are plenty of tours that offer this service in Cancun. Most of them also include snorkeling on a part of the reef located between Cancun and Isla Mujeres, which is the start of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second largest reef after the Australian Great Barrier Reef! The waters in this area are calm and perfect for novices and people who just want to relax. The guides will go into the water with you to show you some of the schools of fishes that live here like. After snorkeling you will likely be taken to a beach in Isla Mujeres where you will eat some delicious local fish or other Mexican specialty!
Some of the species you can encounter are surgeonfish, blue and yellow tang, smallmouth grunts, needle fish, parrotfish, angelfish. In this area you might also find brain corals, sea fans, tube sponges, sea rods, and elkhorn corals. It is very important that you DO NOT TOUCH these corals. They are colonies of tiny creatures and touching them will likely kill them or destroy them.
Depending of the type of dental treatment you are having with us you might or might not be allowed to drink alcoholic beverages on the trip as there are some dental procedures that require you to take antibiotics so drinking is prohibited. You will need to ask our dentists in Cancun if there won’t be a problem. Even then most tours offer juice or soft drinks. In any case, it is strongly suggested you check the boat beforehand to make sure it is in good condition and it has all the life vests for everyone.

Patient happy with professional dentists in Cancun!
Patient happy with dentists in Cancun
This time around we would like to thank our dear patient Brandi for trusting on our staff to look after her dental needs. She came from New York looking for affordable crowns, a root canal and whitening. Brandi compared prices with doctors on her area and the ones from the dentists in Cancun and realized she would save a lot if she got her dental work during her vacation time
This was her first time here in Cancun and she simply loved the beautiful beaches, and also took this opportunity to visit some of the archaeological Mayan sites in the area. She was impressed by our facilities, loving the elegant ambient of the dental clinic.
So, while she got a wonderful vacation on the beach she made sure to look after her oral health. Brandi had bad experiences before with other dentists but she left simply delighted with the kind and professional attention we gave her.
I love it. All the doctor were really professionals. The staff was so good to us. Thank you
We have found out that only a third of American would visit their dentist once a year because its just too expensive to get even the most basic care. Dental Insurance only covers a few treatments and most of the time that is not enough to fix whatever problem you might have. This is why thousands of people travel aboard to Mexico each year to have their dental work done for almost 70% less than in USA.
